| The IT departments of many organizations are overburdened or simply do not exist in some environments. The E·SPONDER solution offers the freedom to navigate through the user registration and approval process without the assistance of IT staffs. The User Registration and Approval component was developed to assist users in applying for account access, approval/denial of access by an administrator, and addition into the E·SPONDER database. | |
| Individuals interested in gaining access to an E·SPONDER site are given a link for a registration page. Users can fill out their contact information as well as request for access to specified areas within the site. When the application is submitted, it is routed to a designated approver. The approver can either accept or deny access to the user with a click of a button. Once the user is accepted, they are automatically added to the database with the correct role and rank, and an Exchange Mailbox is created for them. E-mails are generated to the end user to provide them an i.d. and password. Users also have the ability to change their passwords if necessary. |
