User Registration and Approval
The IT departments of many organizations are often overburdened or, in some cases, simply do not exist. The E•SPONDER solution offers the freedom to navigate through the user registration and approval process without the assistance of your IT staff. The User Registration and Approval component was developed to assist users in applying for account access, administrator approval/denial of access, and addition of approved users into the E•SPONDER database.
Individuals interested in gaining access to an E•SPONDER site are given a link to the registration page. Users can fill out their contact information as well as request for access to specified areas within the site. When the application is submitted, it is routed to a designated administrator for approval. The admin can either accept or deny access to the user with a click of a button. Once the user is accepted, they are automatically added to the database with the correct role and rank, and an Exchange mailbox is created for them. Emails are generated to the end user to provide them with an ID and password. Users also have the ability to change their passwords if necessary.
